WFW is building a pipeline of qualified workers eager to enter the manufacturing workforce. By 2028, there will be 2.4 million unfilled advanced manufacturing positions. WFW's training model also serves to fill America’s shortage of qualified CNC machining, 3-D printing, welding and advanced manufacturing workers.Īs of 2019, there were more than 522,000 unfilled manufacturing jobs in the U.S. In just 4 weeks, WFW students earn nationally-recognized welding or machining credentials that lead to well-paying jobs across the nation. Despite being mission-focused, ethically-rooted, and capable, for many veterans, finding a meaningful career after serving our country is not always easy. Programs: Workshops for Warriors (WFW) is a GuideStar platinum-rated 501(c)(3) nonprofit school that provides veterans and transitioning service members with state-of-the-art training in advanced manufacturing. Results: More than 790 veterans and transitioning service members graduated with over 7,550 nationally-recognized manufacturing credentials and a 94% full-time employment rate among graduates.ĭirect beneficiaries per year: 117 veterans and transitioning service members
